Position Purpose/Summary
The role of the Local Media Strategist is to work as the point of contact between Curious Jane and its Local franchisee clients, strengthening relationships as well as directly executing and overseeing the digital and social campaigns for his/her clients. This position is also expected to work with different departments within the agency as needed to ensure client needs are met. The Local Media Strategist develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue and ensures that organizational goods or services consistently meet client needs. They provide strategy and customer support for local clients while being able to fully understand and speak to campaign results, needs and opportunities for their media platforms. Additionally, they support Curious Jane through leading new business calls and creating proposals. They work to resolve any issues or concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Account Services
- Be responsible and accountable for a number of dedicated client accounts, often juggling various projects and deadlines.
- Manage client relationships and day-to-day communication with clients and internal staff.
- Plan, propose and manage client budgets and ensure that the client’s dollars are being spent efficiently.
- Develop client relationships beyond email through phone calls and in-person meetings.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of advertising strategies.
- Understand multi-platform strategies that include Google, Meta and mass media.
- Participate in strategy meetings to help clients meet their goals.
- Offer proactive solutions and innovative ideas to clients that align with Curious Jane’s recommended brand strategies and packages.
- Place design and copy orders, as needed.
- Ensure all creative has been edited and approved by internal staff and then by client.
- Schedule, lead, and drive internal agency and external client meetings.
- Present performance reports to client in monthly meetings.
- Provide weekly/monthly client updates and summaries via email and/or reports.
- Work as their own project manager to ensure that projects are being delivered on time and on budget.
- Keep meticulous documentation of client requests, project updates, etc.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with clients, the Senior Director of Local Marketing and other staff members.
- Navigate through internal Curious Jane systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, etc), Fluency, Workamajig, Adobe and more.
Paid Media Strategy
- Understand fundamental marketing strategies and how advertising plays a role in achieving client goals.
- Demonstrate ability to build and optimize client campaigns across a variety of media platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Fluency and more.
- Demonstrate clear and precise budget management for each of their clients.
- Review client performance data and translate it into actionable next steps and takeaways for you and your clients.
- Demonstrate a professional ability to educate and inform on complex marketing strategies.
- Clearly communicate to, and tap in Finance and Ad Operations teams for support of changing client work or account needs.
- Partner with Local Media Strategy leadership and Ad Ops to troubleshoot campaigns and ensure alignment of strategy and best practices.
- Be a team player, sharing ideas and being open to the ideas of others.
- Notify leadership team (Senior Director of Local Marketing, Director of Local Media and Strategy, and/or Manager of Ad Ops) of any potential problems with projects or accounts and strategize solutions.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in business administration, advertising, marketing or related field
- Exceptionally strong customer service skills both in person and on the phone
- Strong presentation skills to business owners or members of leadership
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Understanding of advertising methods and techniques
- Omnichannel expertise
- Ability to plan and manage budgets on behalf of clients

- Ability to travel (light travel on as needed basis)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as an advertising Account Executive or in a related position
- 1+ year of digital media buying experience
- Directly within platforms like Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc
- Meta Blueprint: Digital Marketing Associate Certification
- Google Search: Skillpath Certification
- Franchise-industry experience, or experience working directly with a franchise brand
